About the ArtistBart Lindstrom was born and raised in Southern California, where he learned to appreciate the outdoors and art.
Bart's paintings hang in State Capitals and Federal courtrooms. His work is in many private and corporate collections and he has exhibited in solo and group shows in galleries and museums across the United States and Canada. Among his prominent collectors are United States senators William Armstrong and the late Jesse Helms, Tennessee Governor Ned McWherter, Roots author Alex Haley, Actor Morgan Freeman, Vice President Dan Quayle, and Secretary of State General Colin Powell. He graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in business marketing but soon realized that his future lay in his first love. He went on to study at the Art Center in Pasadena. His professional career started with watercolors and then moved into oils. He quickly started to specialize in portrait and figurative paintings. Now a nationally recognized artist, he is also a sought-after conference speaker. As a former board member of the American Society of Portrait Artists, he helped found the Portrait Society of America. Eager to encourage emerging artists, Bart has taught in the graduate studies program at the University of Texas. He has lectured and demonstrated at the American Society of Portrait Artists, taught at the Art Students League in New York City, and at the annual Seminars of the Portrait Society of America.
