I am so excited to announce that two of my paintings were included out of 5,000 entries selected as semi-finalists in the 17th Annual International ARC (Art Renewal Center) Salon Competition. The ARC is one of the most prestigious realist art competitions in the US and perhaps the world, it is such an honor to be selected as a semi-finalist. One of my paintings selected is “George” in the portraiture category.
This year, the semi-finalists will not only be displayed on the ARC website, but also be included in the Lunar Codex. The Lunar Codex is a set of time capsules launched on three NASA-related missions, including the work of 7,000 creatives. It will be the first significant placement of contemporary arts on the Moon in 50 years. https://www.artrenewal.org/Salon/SemiFinalists I am pleased to announce that two of my paintings, Yuan Dynasty Fish Jar & China Dolls were selected to be included in the 2024 Golden Lotus Foundation Asian Heritage Center Fine Art Competition Show, with Yuan Dynasty Fish Jar winning 2nd place.
The show will launch on OnlineGalleryShows.com on September 24th, 2024 and run through November 30, 2024.
Oil on Canvas 20 x 24 CONTACT THE ARTIST ABOUT THIS ARTWORK We are very excited to announce that my painting, Duck Pass, has been accepted into the Booth Museum 2024 Winter/Spring Downtown Gallery Exhibit. The exhibit will run January 20th 2024 – May 1st 2024. Duck Pass is part of the longer Mammoth Crest trail, which provides expansive views of the Minarets and Silver Divide. The climb to the pass is quite scenic, with views of the lake basin and rugged peaks lining the valley. Just beyond the pass is an overlook, with panoramic views of Duck Lake cradled in a cirque of 11,000-ft peaks and ridges. Beyond Duck Pass, the trail drops down to the John Muir Trail. Moon Flowers will be featured in the Moonlight Serenade exhibit
California Art Club Gallery at The Old Mill San Marino, CA January 25th – May 19th 2024 https://www.californiaartclub.org/exhibition/moonlight-serenade/ I am always amazed that the Moon Flower can grow in the harsh environment of the desert. We often see them on our early morning walks when they are still wide open from the night before. They close for the heat of the day and then reopen after sunset in the cool of the evening. One of nature’s many gifts. |
